Electric MINI Countryman: real-world range, boot space and charging
Up to 462 km WLTP, a 460-litre boot and a 10 to 80% charge in 29 minutes. What to know about the electric MINI Countryman, its two versions and how it differs from the Aceman.

The Countryman is MINI's largest model. Its third generation, unveiled in September 2023, has been sold as an electric car since 2024, with two power levels, the Countryman E and the Countryman SE ALL4.
Here is how far it really goes, how long it takes to charge, what its boot holds, what separates its two versions and when the more compact Aceman suits you better.
- of WLTP range at best, 2024 Countryman E
- 462km
- of boot space with the rear seats up
- 460litres
- to go from 10 to 80% on a rapid charger
- 29min
What is the real-world range of the electric MINI Countryman?
MINI quotes 423 to 462 km under the WLTP standard for the Countryman E, depending on equipment. Its battery stores 66.5 kWh, of which 64.6 kWh are usable, and its official consumption ranges from 15.7 to 17.4 kWh per 100 km.
Real-world range depends mainly on speed and temperature. On the motorway and in cold weather, consumption rises and range drops noticeably, as with any electric car.
A simple calculation gives an idea. With 64.6 kWh usable, consumption of 20 kWh per 100 km gives about 320 km, and consumption of 25 kWh about 260 km. These are worked examples, not measurements.
Since March 2026, MINI has quoted up to 500 km WLTP for the Countryman E. The gain comes from a battery with 65.2 kWh of usable capacity, a new silicon carbide inverter and front wheel bearings with less friction.
How long does it take to charge?
The electric Countryman accepts up to 130 kW at a direct-current rapid charger. At home or at work, it charges on alternating current.
- From 10 to 80% in 29 minutes on a 130 kW rapid charger
- Up to 11 kW on a three-phase wallbox
- About 10 hours from 0 to 100% on a 7.4 kW single-phase wallbox

If you set a rapid charger as your destination in the navigation, the car brings its battery to the right temperature before you arrive. In cold weather, charging therefore takes less time. The cables fit in a compartment under the boot floor.
How big is the boot?
The boot of the electric Countryman holds 460 litres with the rear seats up and grows to 1,450 litres once they are folded.
The position of the rear row of seats can be adjusted in length by up to 13 centimetres.
Sliding the rear seats forward enlarges the boot, sliding them back gives more legroom. The backrest of the three rear seats also reclines in six positions, by up to 12 degrees.

- Boot: 460 litres, up to 1,450 litres with the seats folded
- Storage under the floor for the charging cables
- Roof load: 75 kg
- Towing: 750 kg for the Countryman E, 1,200 kg for the SE ALL4, with an optional tow bar that extends and retracts electrically
The Countryman is 4.45 m long, 1.84 m wide and 1.64 m high, with a 2.69 m wheelbase. It is 13 centimetres longer than the previous generation.

Countryman E or SE ALL4, what is the difference?
Both versions share the battery, the charging and the boot. Only the power and the drivetrain differ.
- Countryman E: 204 hp, 250 Nm, front-wheel drive, 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 s, 170 km/h, up to 462 km WLTP
- Countryman SE ALL4: 313 hp, 494 Nm, two motors and all-wheel drive, 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 s, 180 km/h, up to 432 km WLTP
The SE ALL4 suits you if you tow a trailer or often drive on snow. The Countryman E weighs 135 kg less and gets more kilometres out of the same battery.
Since March 2026, MINI has quoted up to 467 km for the SE ALL4. The Countryman we offer is a Countryman E, with front-wheel drive.

MINI Aceman or Countryman, which one to choose?
The Aceman is a more compact electric crossover. It is 4.08 m long, 37 centimetres shorter than the Countryman.
- Boot: 300 to 1,005 litres, against 460 to 1,450 litres for the Countryman
- Aceman E: 184 hp, battery with 38.5 kWh usable, up to 309 km WLTP, from 10 to 80% in 28 minutes at 70 kW
- Aceman SE: 218 hp, 49.2 kWh usable, up to 405 km WLTP, from 10 to 80% in 31 minutes at 95 kW
The Aceman is easier to park and is enough for town and everyday journeys. The Countryman is better suited to a family, holiday departures and long journeys, with more range and 160 litres of extra boot space.

We also offer an orange Aceman E with a black roof, which has its own page in Luxembourg, Belgium and France.
